About The Position

This role is for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provider in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The daily responsibilities include managing the daily schedule, visiting patients, completing electronic charting within 24 hours, maintaining a daily visit log, participating in on-call duties, attending weekly provider meetings, and submitting weekly reports on hours, mileage, and PTO requests.

Requirements

Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Ability to complete electronic charting within 24 hours of visit
Ability to sign each chart within 24 hours of each visit
Ability to create a charge for each visit within 24 hours of each visit
Ability to complete daily visit log for each patient
Ability to send visit log to business office within 24 hours
Ability to complete on-call log
Ability to send on-call log to business office within 24 hours of completed on-call duties
Ability to submit hours, mileage, and PTO requests on a weekly basis

Responsibilities

Review schedule for assigned facility
Review scheduled appointments and check with Nursing Director for acute patient needs
Add new identified patient visits to schedule
Organize day according to scheduled visits
Visit patients as scheduled
Complete appropriate charting during visit
Communicate with facility staff as needs arise during visits
Prescribe and approve new medications as needed
Approve refill medications as needed
Order and approve labs as needed
Order and approve new treatments as needed
Complete electronic charting on patients within 24 hours of the visit
Sign each chart within 24 hours of each visit
Create a charge for each visit within 24 hours of each visit
Complete daily visit log for each patient, including name, date, and CPT code
Send visit log to business office within 24 hours
Participate in on-call duties as assigned
Complete on-call log and send to business office within 24 hours of completed on-call duties
Participate in weekly provider meetings
Submit hours, mileage, and PTO requests on a weekly basis to the business office
