About The Position

Established practice seeks a Family Medicine with Obstetrics physician due to growth. Join a collaborative team of 3 FM/OB’s, 2 OBGYN’s and 1 midwife. There is a strong collegial arrangement with the current OBGYNs. The anticipated split is 50/50 between primary care and OB, with flexibility based on candidate preference. Call is 1:6. Surgical OB (c-section trained) would be preferred, but not required. There is an opportunity to be core faculty within our residency program. As a Catholic healthcare organization, partnering with physicians who practice NFP guidelines is essential to our core beliefs and Mission. Embedded services include care management, social work, and behavioral health. Clinic hours are Mon-Fri, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, with an option to work on Saturday. H1B and J1 visa applications are accepted.

Requirements

Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies).
Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
Shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Nice To Haves

Surgical OB (c-section trained) preferred.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served.

Responsibilities

Provide primary care services.
Provide obstetrics services, including surgical OB (c-section trained) if applicable.
Collaborate with a team of physicians and a midwife.
Potentially serve as core faculty within the residency program.
Adhere to NFP guidelines as part of a Catholic healthcare organization.
Utilize embedded services such as care management, social work, and behavioral health.
