About The Position

Kossuth Regional Health Center is seeking a Family Medicine Physician with OB skills to join a busy practice with instant volume. The physician will join a team of 8 Physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers, offering full-spectrum family medicine including surgical obstetrics, ER, and hospitalist services. The facility is a 25-bed critical access hospital with an on-site primary care clinic, affiliated with MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a Level III Trauma Center. Specialists are available on-site, and comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services are offered. This position offers a significant bonus package, moving allowance, competitive compensation, and full benefits.

Requirements

Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
Completion of an appropriate residency program.
Board certified or board eligible.
Must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible.
Above average communication skills.
Ability to work with a team.
Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license.
Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate.
Federal DEA Certificate.
Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
EOE/drug screen required.

Responsibilities

Provide full spectrum family medicine care.
Perform surgical obstetrics.
Provide ER and hospitalist services.
Participate in OB/hospitalist call rotation (1:9).
Participate in C-section call rotation (1:3).
Collaborate with on-site specialists.
Obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
Obtain State of Iowa physician license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate.
