About The Position

Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a nonprofit health care organization whose mission is to provide exceptional health care to people facing access barriers through clinical programs and education. We provide integrated health care services including medical, dental, and behavioral health through our 20 outpatient health centers. We deliver care with our strong "Hospitality" culture. Our organization has over 800 employees and serves more than 74,300 patients annually in the Pikes Peak and East Central regions of Colorado. Our service area covers 14 counties, from the front range to the Kansas border, with locations throughout Colorado Springs, Fountain, Divide, Limon, and Strasburg. Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). We are seeking a full-time, board-certified physician to join our team of providers. Located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, our center provides full spectrum family practice care to people who live and work in their community. Our sites are innovative, collaborative and cohesive. The position offers great quality of work/life balance with four 10-hour days, no in-patient duties and occasional telephone call backup to the after-hours triage service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth, providing a wide variety of opportunities, including process and quality improvement, mentorship, teaching and participating in research. Additionally, because Peak Vista is a FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center), the provider’s malpractice insurance is covered through FTCA (Federal Tort Claims Act) government funds. Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). Successful candidates will complete pre-employment screening; which includes, but is not limited to a Criminal Background check. Requirements

  • Board-certified physician.
  • 2+ years of experience in family medicine practicing in a primary care setting.
  • Able to utilize a template based EMR (NextGen).
  • Unrestricted Colorado license.
  • Active DEA.
  • Comfortable seeing all ages.
  • Strong desire to make a difference in the community.
  • Embrace a team-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working with and overseeing Physician Assistants.
  • Provide collaboration with Nurse Practitioners.
  • Complete pre-employment screening, including a Criminal Background check.
