About The Position

The National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a role focused on wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management through cutting-edge technologies and the latest wound care modalities, supported by physician-level training and a wound fellowship. The role involves conducting weekly wound rounds at facilities within a 40-60 mile radius, visiting 2-3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20-30 patients daily. Clinical documentation is performed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.

Requirements

Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice.
Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Become an expert in wound management.
Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
