About The Position

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join an established team of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in the Town of Webb. This is a full-time, employed position focused on traditional outpatient practice with 35 patient contact hours and 5 hours of administrative time per week. The physician will work alongside an established team with strong support, contributing to premier healthcare delivery in the Mohawk Valley region. MVHS has 17 primary care offices across the region, offering options for both rural and urban living.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Successful completion of a residency and internship.
  • Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise.
  • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current NYS Certification/Licensure
  • Federal DEA Certification
  • Board certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty, Medical Specialty License or Certification if applicable

Responsibilities

  • Deliver premier healthcare to patients.
  • Conduct traditional outpatient practice.
  • Manage 35 patient contact hours per week.

  • Supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students.
  • Develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
  • Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
  • Provide medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
