About The Position

A major Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with multi-specialty outpatient community clinics across Los Angeles County is seeking dedicated, mission-oriented Family Medicine Physicians for permanent full-time opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who are passionate about outpatient primary care, community health, underserved patient populations, culturally sensitive care, and long-term clinical impact. The organization provides comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services to low-income, uninsured, underserved, and medically vulnerable communities across the Los Angeles region. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a community clinic or FQHC-style outpatient environment and will demonstrate strong commitment to serving underserved and uninsured patient populations. Candidates with prior experience in an FQHC, community health center, safety-net clinic, public health clinic, or high-volume outpatient primary care setting will be strongly prioritized.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine MD or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine DO degree.
  • Current status as one of the following: Currently completing Family Medicine residency, Board Eligible in Family Medicine, or Board Certified in Family Medicine.
  • Active or eligible California medical license preferred.
  • Strong interest in outpatient primary care and community-based medicine.
  • Mission-driven approach to caring for underserved, uninsured, low-income, and diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, professionalism, and patient-centered care approach.
  • Comfortable managing 20 to 22 patients per day in an outpatient setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior FQHC, community health center, safety-net clinic, underserved care, public health, or high-volume outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual ability is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients in a community clinic setting.
  • Perform patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, follow-ups, preventive care, and chronic disease management.
  • Deliver culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate care to diverse patient populations.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, dentists, behavioral health providers, social workers, and administrative teams.
  • Support quality care initiatives, patient access, care coordination, and population health goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients on preventive care, medication management, lifestyle improvement, and long-term health planning.
  • Participate in care team meetings and support clinic workflow, patient safety, and clinical quality standards.
  • Represent the organization’s mission of serving patients with dignity, professionalism, and high-quality care.
