About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Family Medicine Physicians to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across Wilmington, Delaware. The role offers clinical autonomy and hands-on procedures while avoiding call, nights, weekends, and after-hours patient messages. Physicians receive comprehensive wound care training; prior wound care or procedural experience is not required. The position focuses on continuity of care and following patients through healing in skilled nursing and post-acute settings. Compensation is performance-based, with per-patient and per-procedure pay and quarterly bonus programs. Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
• DEA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Complete pre-employment confidential DiSC testing and appropriate relevant skills testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Use advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborate in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings, following patients through healing.
• Lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the Wilmington area.
