About The Position

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Family Medicine Physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. The practice setting is outpatient only, with hospital and ED onsite. It is an employed position with a nonprofit health system. There is lots of growth in the area due to proximity to Austin, San Antonio, Tesla, and Samsung, and there is high demand for Primary Care providers in the area. Specialists are available to the provider due to the vast resources of Ascension Texas. Smithville has cardiology, general surgery and orthopedics on site each week. The practice includes an onsite lab, uses Athena EMR, serves a population of approximately 18,000, and has an integrated referral network. It is part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system.

Requirements

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Responsibilities

• Practice medicine as a Family Medicine Physician in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with specialists and utilize the resources of Ascension Texas.
• Serve a patient population of approximately 18,000.
