About The Position

We are a multidisciplinary healthcare team dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. Our practice is committed to staying at the forefront of pain management innovations and evidence-based practices. We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Pain Management Physician to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving the lives of our patients. We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician with an interest in or experience with Sports Medicine, musculoskeletal care, and joint injections to join our growing multidisciplinary practice. This position is ideal for a Family Medicine physician who enjoys procedural medicine and wants to develop a strong musculoskeletal practice. Sports Medicine fellowship training is welcomed but not required.

Requirements

  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, with a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Sports Medicine (or eligibility to obtain it).
  • Extensive experience treating athletic injuries, tendinopathies, concussions, and chronic degenerative joint conditions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with patients ranging from weekend warriors to elite athletes.
  • Proficient in medical records management (EMR) and compliant medical coding practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Board Certification/CAQ in Family Medicine and/or Sports Medicine.
  • Experience treating patients within a multidisciplinary sports medicine or orthopedic group practice.
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in Ortho biologics and regenerative medicine techniques.
  • A strong research, presentation, or publication record in the field of sports medicine.
  • Current or prior experience providing sideline medical coverage for local athletic teams, schools, or sporting events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Family Medicine care with an emphasis on musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Evaluate and treat joint pain, arthritis, sports injuries, tendinopathies, bursitis, sprains/strains, and other common orthopedic & pain conditions.
  • Perform joint, bursa, soft-tissue, and ultrasound & fluroscopy-guided injections based on experience and training.
  • Interpret relevant X-rays, MRIs, and other diagnostic studies.
  • Develop conservative treatment plans incorporating medications, physical therapy, activity modification, bracing, and injections.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapy, rehabilitation, orthopedic, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients regarding injury prevention, exercise, wellness, and long-term joint health.
  • Collaborative Procedural Opportunity: You will work alongside an Interventional Pain Management specialist, providing an opportunity for collaboration, mentorship, and additional exposure to spine-related procedures.
