About The Position

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Family Medicine physician for a Core Faculty position in their residency program in Winter Haven, Florida. In collaboration with the Florida State University College of Medicine, the faculty's primary mission is to provide a dynamic, professional learning environment focused on lifelong learning, teaching, quality improvement, evidence-based medicine, and scholarship. The goal is to recruit and train the next generation of Family Physicians. The majority of faculty and clinic efforts will be dedicated to these pursuits. This is an opportunity to work within a new Family Medicine Residency program, which welcomed its first class of residents in July 2020. Call is shared with other physician members of the family medicine department in a noncompetitive, supportive environment. The role involves full-spectrum outpatient family medicine, including prenatal care, pediatrics, and adult care. Faculty will precept residents regularly in clinic, perform and precept office procedures, and play a significant role in curriculum building and resident career choice education.

Requirements

Board Certification in Family Medicine
Board Certification or Eligibility by The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic documentation is required.

Experience in Obstetrics strongly preferred
