About The Position
DocStar Medical Partners is seeking a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum opportunity in the Bay Area, California. This position is at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and focuses on Family Medicine and Urgent Care. The role involves managing a patient panel with a focus on chronic care, diabetes management, hypertension, and wellness checks. The provider will be supported by a Medical Assistant (MA) and will see patients aged teens and up. The initial period includes onboarding, Epic training, and a patient ramp-up phase.
Requirements
- Active CA license.
- BC (for MD/DO).
- Furnishing license.
- Active CA DEA.
- Must be registered through MediCal.
- NP/PA with 3+ years of experience.
- MD/DO with 1 year of experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Epic EMR.
- Familiarity with Doximity and Dragon scribe tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-scope Family Medicine and Urgent Care duties.
- Manage chronic care cases including diabetes management and hypertension.
- Conduct wellness checks and address HEDIS measures.
- Handle medication management.
- Perform Pap smears.
- See patients aged teens and up.
