About The Position

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking a Family Medicine MD/DO for a locum tenens opportunity in Central Valley, California. This position is at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and involves full-scope family medicine and urgent care. The provider will see patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors, and will manage chronic care cases, diabetes, hypertension, and perform wellness checks. The role includes administrative time and dedicated onboarding and training. The initial contract is for 3 months with a possibility of extension.

Requirements

• MD/DO degree.
• Active CA license.
• Board Certified (BC).
• Active CA DEA.
• Furnishing license.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Comfortable seeing all ages.
• Comfortable performing Pap smears.
• Comfortable with diabetes management, medication management, and hypertension.
• Must be able to see ALL AGES - from cradle to grave.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an FQHC setting.
• Experience with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope Family Medicine and Urgent Care services.
• See patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors (0-100).
• Handle diabetes management, medication management, and hypertension.
• Manage chronic care cases.
• Perform wellness checks.
• Perform Pap smears.
• Participate in provider onboarding and Epic training during the first week.
• Engage in a 3-week patient ramp-up period.
• Utilize 4 hours per week for administrative tasks.
