About The Position

PB & J Family Services is seeking a part-time student to support Pre-K programs in Albuquerque, NM. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience working with children aged 3-5. The Family Literacy Support staff will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement developmentally appropriate practices and activities, including Family Literacy engagement. Responsibilities may extend to providing additional support and activities to families to foster children's development at home. The team will create lesson plans following the NM Pre-K lesson plan checklist and document observations, concerns, and child growth. PB&J Family Services has been providing essential services to New Mexico children and families facing various risk factors since 1972.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM
• Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters
• Must have a Work-Study Award
• Microsoft Word and Excel Experience
• Organizational Skills
• Ability to Multi-task
