About The Position
A highly respected and well-established law firm, recognized as one of the largest in the DFW area, is seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join its growing family law department in the Flower Mound, Texas area. The firm handles a wide range of practice areas, but this opportunity is dedicated exclusively to family law and offers the chance to work alongside several highly experienced attorneys while taking on a more significant leadership role within the Flower Mound office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking not only quality casework, but also the chance to help guide office growth, mentor team members, and play an important role in the continued success of a prominent regional firm. About the Opportunity The firm is seeking an attorney with direct Texas family law experience who can confidently manage cases involving divorce, child custody, adoption, and related domestic matters. The ideal candidate will also be interested in leadership responsibilities and helping strengthen the family law presence in the Flower Mound office.
Requirements
- Active Texas Bar license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of direct Texas family law experience required
- Strong knowledge of Texas family law procedure and courtroom practice
- Demonstrated leadership ability or desire to grow into a leadership-focused role
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage files while working effectively within a team setting
Responsibilities
- Handle family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, modifications, and related proceedings
- Manage cases from intake through resolution, including hearings, mediation, negotiation, and trial preparation
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and contested proceedings
- Provide thoughtful and responsive guidance to clients during sensitive legal matters
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff across the firm
- Assist with mentoring junior team members and helping lead day-to-day success of the Flower Mound office
- Support continued growth and client development initiatives in the local market
