About The Position

9fin is an AI platform that powers global debt markets, which are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still rely on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin aims to replace this infrastructure with a single platform that centralizes proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets. Currently, 9fin supports over 300 blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors, and is rapidly expanding, particularly in the US. The company is at a significant inflection point, poised to become the leading platform for debt markets globally. 9fin is seeking a corporate finance attorney who is passionate about indentures and aspires to be a thought-leader in the industry. This role will assist the distressed editorial teams in understanding the intricate details of bond and loan documents relevant to restructuring and liability management exercises. It is an ideal opportunity for an experienced finance attorney looking to achieve a better work-life balance while remaining engaged in their profession. The position focuses on expanding 9fin's coverage of complex out-of-court restructurings, with a strong emphasis on distressed situations. The role will report into the New York office, offering flexibility for remote work as needed. This unique opportunity allows a legal professional to leverage their expertise within a rapidly growing start-up environment, refining existing skills and acquiring new ones through collaboration with technologists, credit analysts, and journalists.
