About The Position

The Family Law Court Liaison Officer will develop frameworks and processes that facilitate information exchange between Tasmania Police, investigative agencies, and the Family Court to ensure safety and minimize harm to children. DPFEM is a child safe organisation committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. The organisation welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and abilities, and those that may require flexibility such as part-time, compressed days, or adjustments around start or finish times.

Requirements

  • Pre-Employment Checks: Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. Such offences would include, but are not limited to: Arson and fire setting; Sexual offences; Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud); Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception); Making false declarations; Violent crimes and crimes against the person; Malicious damage and destruction to property; Trafficking of narcotic substance; False alarm raising.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or commensurate experience.
