About The Position

Due to continued growth, DeWitt LLP is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Madison family law team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with one to three years of experience who wants to build a meaningful family law practice in a collaborative, supportive, growth-oriented environment. Our family law attorneys handle a broad range of matters, including divorce, legal separation, child custody and placement, adoption, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and other family-related matters. The ideal candidate is creative, curious, patient, and empathetic, with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and good judgment. Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and in good standing
  • One to three years of legal experience, preferably with experience in family law
  • Strong writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent judgment, organization, and attention to detail
  • A client-focused approach and the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
  • A willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice
