About The Position
We are seeking a Manager of Family Finding to join our team. Your role will ensure service compliance with contract/licensing/funding body/accreditation requirements. As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with 8 other team members and report to our Director of Child Placing Agency.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of work experience in child welfare arena.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or other related human services field is required.
- At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical, and drug screening.
- A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in social work or other related field and licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead team members to ensure the provision of efficient and timely services to children and families under the Kansas Foster Care Case Management Grant.
- Guide, direct, and coach Family Finding Specialist / Advocates as they use urgent, creative search techniques and authentic engagement to identify relatives, kin and natural supports for both children entering foster care as well as children and youth currently being served in the KS FCCM program.
- Conduct weekly supervision with team members to increase performance and promote team members development.
- Supervise documentation of genograms and engagements in Family Connections.
- Advocate to empower children and families and promote best-interest decision making related to relative/kin placements and relative/kin supports.
