Family Engagement Specialist (part-time)
About The Position
The YWCA of Greater Cleveland is seeking a part-time Family Engagement Specialist for its Early Learning Center. This onsite role focuses on working closely with families to foster connections and empower them through tailored support services. The Early Learning Center, founded in 2001, provides high-quality early childhood education to families experiencing homelessness and trauma using a two-generational, trauma-informed approach. The center's innovative model assesses and identifies social-emotional needs, works with families on case plans and goal achievement, prevents re-occurrence of homelessness, and empowers families towards self-sufficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- At least 5 years' experience working with a diverse client population.
- Knowledge relevant to client population.
- Knowledge of Cuyahoga County homeless system and continuum of care.
- Knowledge of mental health, addictions, poverty, and trauma.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- A valid Ohio Driver's License, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required.

- Associate's degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct participant intake assessments.
- Craft individualized service plans tailored to unique needs.
- Connect participants with essential community-based services.
- Actively engage in community outreach initiatives.
- Utilize marketing skills to promote the YWCA's mission and recruit potential participants.
- Maintain accurate client and program records, adhering to NASW standards.
