Family Engagement Specialist
About The Position
People Incorporated of Virginia is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist at its Bristol Head Start Center. The specialist provides in-home services to clients enrolled in Head Start and Early Head Start. The successful candidate is service-minded, knowledgeable about community resources and basic early childhood education, and team-focused. A degree or certification in ECE and/or HMS, along with related experience, is required. This role supports families by facilitating family growth, education, and development. The specialist works with and communicates effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and demonstrates awareness of how personal values and ethics affect work with families. Requirements
- A degree or certification in ECE and/or HMS.
- Related experience.
- Knowledge of community resources and basic early childhood education.
- Ability to work with and effectively communicate with individuals from several socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to articulate awareness of how personal values and ethics affect work with families.
- Service-minded and team-focused approach.
