About The Position

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Assistant to join their team. This mission-driven role focuses on supporting families and ensuring a good work-life balance. The position involves transporting children and parents to services, providing supported contact for separated families, and assisting in developing support networks for youth in DCF custody. The agency offers comfortable offices and works closely with the Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum age of 18 years old
Valid driver's license
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting
Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets coverage limits
Excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)
Ability to document work completed
Strong team player

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree
Experience in Human Services

Responsibilities

Transporting children and parents to needed services
Providing supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings
Calling family members when youth come into DCF custody to assist in the development of a support network for those youth and their families
