About The Position

Help Families Find Their Strength. Build Hope. Create Change. Are you passionate about mental health, family support, advocacy, and recovery? Do you enjoy building meaningful relationships and helping people connect with resources, develop new skills, and work toward their goals? As a Family Coach at Riverbend, you'll have the opportunity to help families recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, access critical resources, and move toward the goals that matter most to them. Families often don't need someone to have all the answers. They need someone who will listen, understand, advocate, connect, and walk alongside them. If you’re looking for a career where your compassion, advocacy, and ability to connect with others can make a real difference, we’d love to meet you. This is more than a support role. You’ll be a coach, advocate, mentor, resource, and partner in recovery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field, or specific certification (e.g., Certified Family Peer Specialist) is required.
  • Lived experience navigating behavioral health or child welfare systems for their own children.
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the system of care for substance use and mental health treatment, as well as available resources in Merrimack County and surrounding areas preferred.
  • Experience working with families, behavioral health, community services, child welfare, education, healthcare, or other human services is valuable.
  • Lived experience and a strong understanding of family-centered care are also valued.
