Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field, or specific certification (e.g., Certified Family Peer Specialist) is required.
  • Lived experience navigating behavioral health or child welfare systems for their own children.
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the system of care for substance use and mental health treatment, as well as available resources in Merrimack County and surrounding areas preferred.
  • Experience working with families, behavioral health, community services, child welfare, education, healthcare, or other human services is valuable.
  • Lived experience and a strong understanding of family-centered care are also valued.

  • Support families by helping them navigate child welfare, education, healthcare, and community systems while strengthening self-advocacy and reducing stigma.
