About The Position

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services team is seeking a Master's Level, Family Based Therapist for their Malvern location. This role involves creating focused and customized treatment plans for children, adolescents, and their families throughout Chester County, PA, utilizing the ESFT Model. The position offers opportunities for clinical experience with both adults and children, use of a company vehicle, and a company phone and laptop. Therapists work with a partner and a well-developed team. The ASCEND- Career Accelerator Program assists with student loans, continued education, and PSLF. This full-time role provides a guaranteed annual salary with achievable monthly quotas to increase compensation. Company vehicles are available for travel. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working afternoon and early evening hours, with typical hours being 10a-6p or 11a-7p, and schedules determined in conjunction with family needs. The Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of diagnoses including autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges. Services include psychiatric residential treatment, acute inpatient psychiatric hospital care, assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training, social skills training, and approved private school educational services for males and females aged 6-21.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psych, Social Work, Education, Rehabilitation or Human Services.
  • 2 years in CASSP (Child and Adolescent Service System Program) system.
  • Proficient computer skills and a working knowledge of software programs (i.e. Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc).
  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • License preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psych, Social Work, Education, Rehabilitation or Human Services.

Responsibilities

  • Visit children and families within their natural setting-home/school/community.
  • Offer parents effective management skills and approaches to improve the child’s well-being, while the child or young adult learns skills to become successful in school, follow directions at home, develop and maintain positive relationships within the community, and reach expected emotional, social and academic achievements.
  • Complete assessments and create/monitor goals of the child.
