About The Position

Fairmont Austin is seeking a Fairmont Gold Agent to join their team. This role reports to the Fairmont Gold Manager and is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in the Fairmont Gold lounge. The position involves greeting and checking in guests, managing guest accounts, maintaining the Fairmont Gold product, and ensuring guest requests are met. The agent will also focus on revenue generation through upsell programs, handling guest concerns, building guest relationships, and providing local expertise. Additionally, the role requires assisting with lounge cleanliness and service, adhering to Forbes and Michelin standards, and following all safety policies.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Previous guest service experience required
  • Previous Property Management System experience required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required

Nice To Haves

  • University/College degree in a related discipline an asset

Responsibilities

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Greet, check in and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followed
  • Monitor maintenance of the physical Fairmont Gold product
  • Review all Fairmont Gold reservations to ensure requests are met
  • Ensure the highest possible revenues are generated for Fairmont Gold, working with the Front Office team on daily upsell programs
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper areas
  • Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
  • Personalize service with guests during their time in the lounge
  • Provide local expertise to our guests, booking attractions and dining reservations per guest request
  • Assist in lounge cleanliness and service during peak times and as required
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards according to Forbes and Michelin Key standards
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned
