About The Position

OPAL-RT Technologies is looking for a FAE. As part of your duties, you will have the chance to meet the leaders in the field of simulation and to work with tools on the cutting edge of technology. Your external customers will be manufacturers, engineering companies, electricity producers (such as Hydro-Québec) and transmission and distribution network operators. As a FAE, you will do commissioning, integration, customer support and customer training; Our team of application engineers has good technical knowledge as well as very good communication and problem solving skills. These are the skills they are looking for in their future colleague. You would work approximately 85% of the time in our Montreal offices and you will be called upon to travel approximately 15% to our customers, including in the United States.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferably), software engineering, or mechanical engineering
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience (we consider your internships experiences relevant)
  • MATLAB / Simulink
  • good command of English and French
  • passion for problem solving
  • love challenges and good ability to work under pressure
  • excel in interpersonal relations and / or customer service

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and / or interest in the aeronautical industry
  • Experience in FPGA and VHDL programming
  • Knowledge of communication protocols
  • Experience in software development (Python, C ++)
