In this position We are seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) with strong technical expertise in SoCs, Edge AI, and embedded systems to support customers adopting Hailo’s AI processor platforms. In this role, you will act as a technical lead between customers, sales, and R&D, enabling successful evaluation, design‑in, and deployment of Hailo AI solutions in production edge devices. This is a highly customer‑facing role requiring hands-on technical depth, problem‑solving skills, and system‑level understanding of AI‑enabled products. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong background with embedded system processors (SoC)
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a SW/embedded developer
  • Proficient working with Linux‑based embedded platforms, C/C++, Python
  • Working knowledge of AI inference pipelines, especially computer vision
  • Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or ONNX
  • Ability to debug complex system level issues spanning hardware, drivers, middleware, and applications
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to edge AI SoCs, AI Accelerators, GPUs or NPUs
  • Experience with camera systems, video pipelines, or image signal processors (ISP)
  • Understanding of AI performance metrics (FPS, latency, TOPS, power efficiency)
  • Background in video analytics, image quality, generative AI (VLM/LLM).
  • Experience working with global customers and cross regional teams
  • Development engineers interested in customer facing roles welcome to apply

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical interface for customers integrating Hailo AI processors into edge platforms
  • Understand customer’s requirements, system architectures (SoC, ISP, sensors, memory, power) and recommend optimal Hailo‑based AI solutions
  • Support customer evaluation, bring‑up, and debug of Hailo hardware and software solutions
  • Assist with AI model integration and optimization for computer vision and generative AI workloads using Hailo’s SDK, compiler, and runtime library
  • Troubleshoot performance, latency, power, and integration issues across hardware, software, and AI models
  • Deliver technical presentations, demos, and trainings to customers and partners
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and R&D to influence product improvements and roadmap alignment
  • Capture customer feedback and translate real‑world requirements into actionable technical insights for internal teams
  • Build a trusted relationship with customers, helping them understand Hailo’s differentiation and advantages to their particular use cases.
