Requirements

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Systems Management, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering or technical solution architect role.
  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Systems Management, or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering or technical solution architect role.
  • Designing, implementing, and consulting with distributed applications
  • Architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud environments
  • Managing relationships with customer representatives and authoring technical product documentation
  • Presenting technical solutions and features
  • Workload and application deployment, or development of databases
  • Server software ecosystems
  • Configuration of physical server systems and cloud infrastructure
  • Infra Cost optimization (identifying IT cost reduction strategies)
  • Python, C, or C++
  • Linux or Windows internals

Responsibilities

  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to Account Executives in defining and executing account strategy regarding components and systems for semiconductor and related device products.
  • Discover critical customer business challenges addressable with AMD-based CSP IaaS/PaaS products.
  • Grow demand for AMD-based Infrastructure/Platform as a Service (IaaS/PaaS) solutions from our largest public cloud service providers by engaging with key end-customer engineering and leadership contacts to demonstrate AMD-based products addressing their most critical business challenges.
  • Developing strategic plans, launching accelerator cards, executing business development, securing partnerships, and building out a scalable ecosystem.
  • Provide hands-on, expert-level technical guidance to performance engineers and application developers in deployment optimization.
  • Define module interfaces/formats for simulation.
  • Partner with other AMD subject matter authorities to tackle specific customer challenges.
  • Architect, install, and test solutions in-house, as needed, to ensure successful evaluations and deployments.
  • Lead technical sessions and seminars on topics, technologies, and products relevant for customers.
  • Gather a solid understanding of the competitive landscape and clearly articulate the technical differentiation and value proposition associated with AMD.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.
