About The Position
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Surgery is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible plastic surgeon to join the faculty in the Division of Plastic Surgery in Charleston, South Carolina. The position will help augment and develop the division’s clinical portfolio, educate residents and fellows, and contribute to the division’s future. The Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgery has accredited integrated residency and independent fellowship programs. MUSC emphasizes patient care, education, and research and serves a diverse population in the Low Country of South Carolina. The successful candidate will join seven attending surgeons and fifteen surgical residents and contribute to the academic mission through clinical care, education, and scholarly activities in a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in Plastic Surgery.
- Candidates in the final year of residency training may be considered.
- Demonstrated interest in research and graduate and undergraduate education.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations.
- Contribute to the academic and clinical growth of the department and institution.
