About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, are seeking a full-time physiatrist (MD/DO) with interests in spine, sports, and musculoskeletal medicine for our growing department. The individual will provide general rehabilitation services within the UPMC Rehabilitation Network and have a consultative and outpatient role for patients with spine, sports, and musculoskeletal needs. Our expanding programs within an integrated health care delivery and finance system offer unique opportunities for value-based care and boast a collaborative environment with other sub-specialties to ensure comprehensive approaches to patient wellness. We are looking for a physiatrist to help expand our capacity to care for spine and musculoskeletal disorders, including through the use of innovative, multidisciplinary clinics that focus on comprehensive care and follow population health models.

Requirements

Board certified/eligible in PM&R.
Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, teaching, and leadership skills.
For tenure stream appointment: evidence of scholarly productivity, including teaching and academic service, publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals, and a history of successful funding acquisition.
For Associate Professor level: minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrated scholarly productivity in research, teaching, and/or administrative leadership and service.
For Professor level: minimum of 10 years of experience and ability to demonstrate the attainment of superior stature and national/international reputation in their field of knowledge.
For Assistant Professor level: less than 5 years of experience.
