About The Position

The faculty will be responsible for the educational leadership and in-person student instruction on a part-time basis in Speech Communication courses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication, or closely related discipline.
• Equivalent of one year high school or college experience teaching Speech Communication.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff and the public.
• Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty and staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
• Developed organizational skills.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Speech Communication, or closely related discipline.
• Coursework in or experience using technology in instruction.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and evaluate students in Speech Communication courses.
• Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
• Take attendance and maintain records of student attendance.
• Participate in School assessment process.
• Maintain office hours according to the standardized parttime teaching agreement.
• Attend department and School meetings as requested
