About The Position

The Faculty Radiology Technology position at Carolinas College of Health Sciences is a part-time role responsible for promoting the college's core values and standards of excellence. This role involves participating in curriculum and course planning, implementing teaching methodologies in various settings (class, clinical, laboratory), and contributing to the comprehensive evaluation process for courses, students, and curriculum. The faculty member will maintain office hours, serve as a resource to colleagues, and act as an advisor to assigned students. Additionally, participation in college activities, committee meetings, and student functions is expected. Maintaining clinical and professional competence in assigned clinical areas is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification and active registration in the pertinent discipline required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2 years experience in radiologic technology required
  • Basic Life Support required per policy guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • prior teaching experience at the college level preferred.

  • Implements current traditional and innovative teaching methodologies in accordance with objectives in class, clinical and laboratory setting.
  • Participates in comprehensive evaluation process for courses, students, curriculum and clinical units.
  • Assumes responsibilities for maintaining office hours, serving as resource to colleagues and serving as an advisor to assigned students.
  • Participates in college activities, committee meetings and in student functions.
  • Maintains clinical and professional competence for the clinical areas as assigned.
