About The Position

Emory University's Department of Biology is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position at any rank in the area of ecology. The successful candidate will use empirical approaches to test fundamental ecological theory. We are particularly interested in complementing existing strengths through hiring of a faculty member whose research focuses on population, community, evolutionary, or behavioral ecology, and who can teach both lecture- and field-based ecology courses. The successful applicant will train and mentor PhD students through the Population Biology, Ecology & Evolution program and contribute to the department’s undergraduate teaching mission, including undergraduate research. Requirements

• PhD
• Post-doctoral research experience
• A record of productivity
• A commitment to evidence-based undergraduate teaching and mentoring
• Ability to teach both lecture- and field-based ecology courses
• Ability to train and mentor PhD students
• Ability to contribute to undergraduate teaching and research missions
