About The Position

The Oregon Health & Science University - Knight Cancer Institute, a leader in personalized cancer medicine, is seeking an Associate Professor-level faculty member in GU medical oncology with a focus on clinical research. This role is part of a robust clinical and translational program contributing to research in prostate and non-prostate genitourinary malignancies. The position offers the opportunity to lead therapeutic clinical trials, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Urology, Radiation Oncology, and basic scientists in Genomics, Immunology, and Cancer Biology, and engage in clinical activities for both prostate and non-prostate GU cancers. OHSU is located in Portland, Oregon, and provides a collaborative atmosphere within a comprehensive healthcare-focused university, known for its desirable living conditions and access to outdoor activities and a vibrant food scene.

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent or MD/PhD
  • Minimum of one year of experience serving at the Associate Professor or Professor level.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board eligible/certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology

Nice To Haves

  • Training and experience in genitourinary oncology clinical research.
  • History of collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Success in obtaining extramural funding for genitourinary oncology clinical research.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead therapeutic clinical trials to advance genitourinary cancer research.
  • Conduct clinical activities in both prostate and non-prostate GU cancers.
  • Collaborate with members of the GU medical oncology team, other clinical specialties (Urology, Radiation Oncology), and Knight Cancer Institute basic scientists.
