About The Position

This is a part-time adjunct instructor opportunity to teach a 3-hour lab session once a week during the Fall or Spring semester. The goal is to teach undergraduate students how to use basic equipment in a fitness recreation center, including free weights and functional training such as squats. The course is introductory and designed for students with limited skills in strength and conditioning within a fitness and recreational center environment.

Requirements

  • Master's of Science degree in exercise science, strength and conditioning, athletic training, or a related field.
  • CSCS, NSCA-CPT, and/or ACSM-CPT credentials.
  • Demonstrated expertise in foundational knowledge and skill in strength and conditioning exercise and fitness.
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching or coaching people regarding strength and conditioning fitness exercise.
  • Demonstrated expertise and/or a strong desire to teach students health and fitness exercise skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a 3-hour lab session once a week in the Fall or Spring semester.
