The Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM), located on the campus of Meritus Health in Hagerstown, Maryland, is actively expanding its faculty. As the first new medical school in Maryland in more than a century, MSOM is committed to advancing osteopathic medical education, strengthening the physician workforce, and improving the health of the region through excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. MSOM is part of Western Maryland’s largest healthcare system, serving more than 200,000 residents across the tri‑state area. The D.M. Bowman Academic Hall—a 200,000‑square‑foot, five‑story academic facility—houses advanced simulation centers, laboratories, classrooms, and a conference center designed to support a modern, student‑centered curriculum. Adjacent on‑campus housing at Meritus Commons provides residential accommodations for medical students and contributes to a vibrant academic community. MSOM invites applications for a faculty appointment in Osteopathic Principles & Practices (OPP) / Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM/OMM). This faculty member contributes to the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the OMM curriculum across the four‑year osteopathic medical program. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a new medical school and to shape the educational experience of future osteopathic physicians.
