About The Position

Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh, ranked number 7 in US News and World Report, is seeking adjunct faculty with strong clinical backgrounds in physical therapy to teach in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program. The faculty member will be committed to excellence in didactic and clinical education. This is a part-time, 12-month appointment in the appointment stream at the rank of Adjunct Instructor. The Department is part of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS) and offers an entry-level professional DPT degree in a traditional, on-campus format. A hybrid DPT format is under development. The Department also offers a post-professional Master of Science degree and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences, both on-campus. Additionally, certificates in Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) and Advanced Vestibular Physical Therapist are offered in a hybrid format. The University is particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the academic community through teaching, leadership, research, and/or service. A strong partnership with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is expected, and the ability to work with a highly productive team is critical.

Requirements

• Earned entry-level professional PT degree from a CAPTE-accredited program
• Active PT license in the United States

• Online and in-person instruction and/or laboratory assistance
