Reporting to the Department Head, School of Business and Professional Studies, the FT Faculty, Computer Science is responsible for teaching a variety of undergraduate courses in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Computer Science (CS), and Cyber Operations (CSC) degree programs. This role involves teaching up to 15 credit hours per semester, maintaining professional scholarship, advising students, and effectively managing the classroom environment. The faculty member will develop, maintain, and submit accurate records, conduct active research, and develop courses in computer science, cyber operations, and AI, including ethical and practical applications of generative AI tools. Demonstrated interest or expertise in ethical and equitable AI use in cyber operations is also required. Responsibilities include participation in course and curriculum development, mentoring, and providing service to the department, college, and university. If applicable, the role may include Program Coordinator duties such as organizing collaboration meetings, assessing program needs, recommending curriculum revisions, coordinating activities, serving as the primary academic advisor, disseminating information about opportunities, composing strategic and operational plans, submitting assessment reports, advising for Freshman Orientation, and assuring submission of book orders. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
