About The Position

Warner University is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Agricultural Studies to begin in Fall 2026. The primary responsibilities associated with this position include teaching a variety of in-person and online undergraduate courses in Agriculture business, plant science and other related fields. Additional duties may include the development and implementation of department programming, revision of existing courses, development of new ones, and the management of department facilities, equipment, and property. Other responsibilities include student advising and serving on department, college, and university-wide committees. The university seeks candidates committed to both in-person teaching and online education, as well as to research, service, and the university's mission. The successful candidate will teach primarily in the traditional, in-person setting at Warner University’s campus in Lake Wales and may also teach online.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a master's degree.
  • Doctorate/terminal degree preferred.
  • Degree in Plant Science, Soil and Water Science, Agronomy, Horticultural Science, Agricultural Education and Leadership, or a closely related field/discipline from a regionally accredited program.
  • For faculty teaching baccalaureate courses: doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline or master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
  • For faculty teaching graduate and post-baccalaureate coursework: earned doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
  • Commitment to Christian education, particularly in the relationship between faith and academic discipline.
  • Affirm and support the university’s Statement of Faith.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching or practical experience in the field.
  • Some degree of theological education or experience in Christian education within an orthodox, evangelical context.
  • Some experience in teaching at the undergraduate level.
  • Experience with Moodle or a similar online learning platform.
  • Terminal degree in an appropriate discipline.
