About The Position

The Facility Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and appearance of Class A, a multi-building corporate office campus located in El Segundo, California. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, clean, efficient, and professional environment for tenants, visitors, and campus employees.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years of facility maintenance, building operations, hospitality facilities, or commercial property experience.
Basic knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency with computers, mobile work-order systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in commercial office buildings, campus environments, or corporate facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of campus buildings, common areas, mechanical rooms, restrooms, parking structures, and exterior grounds.
Execute preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules.
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs involving lighting, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, furniture, and building finishes.
Replace lamps, ballasts, lighting controls, and related components.
Monitor the condition and operation of HVAC equipment and report deficiencies to building engineering staff.
Assist with basic maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ensure building systems operate efficiently and support tenant comfort.
Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and property operating procedures.
Follow all lockout/tagout and life-safety procedures.
