About The Position

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an onsite Facility Technician for our Lowell Facility team. This hardworking facility worker and safety oriented individual will be responsible for safe loading and unloading of waste including hazardous waste from trucks during different hours of the day. Requirements

High School Degree or equivalent
Basic knowledge of or desire to learn hazardous waste industry
Successful completion of OSHA/DOT physical examination
Become fit tested for a respirator and be comfortable wearing respirator for multiple hours a week
Valid driver’s license
Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
Must have a reliable form of transportation
Must be willing to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
Upon employment, you will be required to participate in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) as part of our company’s commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
Must be able to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
Must be willing to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)

Nice To Haves

Prior relevant industry experience
Active HAZWOPER 24- or 40-hour certification
Willingness to obtain Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

Responsibilities

Load & unload incoming & outgoing trucks
Waste inventory management using Triumvirate designed software and computerized waste tracking system
Learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
Become familiar with packaging guidelines and disposal facility selection
Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, Triumvirate’s Part B permit, and EPA regulations
Communicate effectively with end facilities as well as fellow employees to solve complex issues

Become forklift trained and be able to safely operate machinery
The Facility technician frequently handles hazardous chemicals and biological waste and is responsible for putting on and taking off personal protective equipment. This role is considered safety sensitive.
