About The Position

The Facility Technician operates a natural gas gathering and processing & booster facility, performs maintenance and repair of instrument and mechanical systems, and ensures safe and reliable operations. The Facility Technician will perform all operational and some maintenance, electrical, troubleshooting, and repair tasks. The Facility Technician will report to the Roggen Plant, also supporting the Enterprise Booster Station and the Cattlemens Booster Station.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 or more years of oil and gas operations experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing and able to work a shift schedule, as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform the safe startup, shutdown, and operation of various equipment and processing systems in a multi-train, cryogenic gas plant and booster facilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and equipment rounds of the facility
  • Operate storage and truck racks (such as condensate, NGL, wastewater, etc)
  • Work with others to optimize processing throughout the facility and maintain proper product specifications
  • Respond to alarms and problems within the plant and make appropriate corrections
  • Perform a variety of light mechanical maintenance and repair duties
  • Perform light maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and electrical equipment
  • Perform product composition and quality sampling and testing
  • Work autonomously and in diverse weather conditions
  • Based on business need, remain available for facility callout and overtime coverage
  • Participate in and successfully complete training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings required to comply with state and federal regulations and company policy
  • Review and follow procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet requirements
  • Accurately complete documentation such as timesheets, SAP work orders, safe job plans, and work permits
  • Optimize work in most effective manner, in alignment with the Maintenance Work Process (MWP) and within the tenets of S.A.F.E. and Stop Work Authority
  • Maintain facility appearance and general safety through good housekeeping practices
  • Effectively utilize tools and tests equipment as needed
  • Respond to operational emergencies as a member of an emergency response team
  • Perform and accurately document regulatory required inspections, both State & Federal
  • Oversee contractors providing specialty services
  • Read and comprehend technical procedures, and / or governmental regulations
  • Read, understand, redline, and communicate facility P&ID and electrical one-line drawings
  • Train the existing and new facility shift operators to a level of competency required for single man facility operations
  • Develop and revise facility operational procedures
  • Attend PHAs
