About The Position
Assisted Living and Social Services provides supports for seniors, families, and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, financial supports, services for the homeless, Continuing Care and other social-based programs. The Ministry supports Albertans through a person-centered, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families. Michener – Red Deer: Michener Services provides person-centered care to individuals with disabilities in their homes and supports their participation in community life. Located in the City of Red Deer, these homes serve individuals with a wide range of medical, behavioral, and mobility needs. Supports include 24-hour supports with daily living, nursing consultation and assistance. Requirements
- Some high school education and 6 months related experience.
- Physically able to perform heavy manual duties.
Nice To Haves
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.
- Experience providing operational, facility, logistics, or inventory support.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency with computer applications and electronic tracking systems.
- Experience with shipping and receiving, fleet operations, asset management, or basic vehicle maintenance is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking, ensuring accurate records and timely processing of supplies and materials
- Support transportation and fleet operations, including safe vehicle use, delivery of goods, and basic vehicle inspections
- Assist with facility operations, including setup, maintenance coordination, and support for relocations or space organization
- Handle asset and surplus management, including tracking, storage, transfer, and disposal of equipment and materials
- Resolve operational issues related to inventory, deliveries, and transportation in a timely and effective manner
- Maintain safety standards by following workplace procedures and identifying potential hazards
- Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient daily operations and service delivery
