About The Position

The IT Analyst – Facility Support Technician serves as the primary on-site technology resource supporting engineering, business, and innovation teams within the facility. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable IT services, supporting engineering workstations and applications, managing collaboration technologies, and enabling emerging technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). The position works closely with engineering leadership, business stakeholders, enterprise IT teams, and external vendors to ensure secure, stable, and high-performing technology environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive IT support experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of endpoint deployment and management tools.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless networking, and switching.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer-related or Engineering-related four year College or University Degree (or equivalent)
  • two years of progressively responsible IT job-related experiences
  • Knowledge of the latest technology in programming languages, computing hardware & software and current development processes and tools
  • Understanding of basic Network and Server support.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all facility technology support needs.
  • Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, engineering workstations, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Manage hardware deployments, refresh activities, asset tracking, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate with enterprise IT teams to resolve infrastructure and system issues.
  • Support engineering staff utilizing high-performance computing and graphics workstations.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot engineering applications including CAD, CAE, simulation, visualization, and product development tools.
  • Collaborate with Engineering IT teams and software vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Support engineering data access, storage solutions, and connectivity to enterprise systems.
  • Support VR, AR, and Mixed Reality hardware and software platforms.
  • Configure and maintain VR headsets, displays, tracking systems, workstations, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot graphics, performance, and connectivity issues associated with immersive technologies.
  • Assist innovation teams with demonstrations, testing, proof-of-concepts, and deployment of emerging technologies.
  • Support Microsoft Teams Rooms, conference room technology, audio/video systems, and digital displays.
  • Ensure meeting spaces are fully operational for engineering reviews, executive presentations, and hybrid collaboration sessions.
  • Provide white-glove support for business-critical meetings and events.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of networking issues including Wi-Fi, switching, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP connectivity.
  • Assist with deployment and support of network-connected engineering, manufacturing, and laboratory devices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and technology health checks.
  • Coordinate infrastructure upgrades and facility technology projects.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity standards and IT governance requirements.
  • Support vulnerability remediation, software compliance activities, and security audits.
  • Manage technology assets according to licensing and asset management policies.
  • Promote secure technology practices throughout the facility.
