About The Position

The Facility Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds for the Jackson Amcor plant. This role involves safely operating and maintaining equipment, performing maintenance and repairs on buildings and grounds, including tasks such as changing lights, restroom repairs, transferring items, running data cable, installing safety or general projects, and demo & clean-up. The technician will also perform routine housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance of the facilities' plumbing and electrical systems, and repairs of doors and windows. The position requires adherence to Safety & Quality Absolutes, ISO 9001, Food Safety, and ISO 15378 requirements, as well as all regulatory laws and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 35lbs.
  • Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Bump Cap or Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
  • Relationship skills to interact with Maintenance workers, staff & public.
  • Licenses where required.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Negative drug screen results.
  • Work in a safe manner.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years past experience / proven ability within electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, small engine mechanics, landscaping & custodial.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate & maintain equipment
  • Maintenance & repair of building(s) and grounds including but not limited to changing out lights, restroom repairs, transferring items throughout facility, running data cable, installation of safety or general projects, demo & clean-up
  • Perform routine housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance to the facilities plumbing, electrical system, repairs of doors, windows etc.
  • Any other tasks as assigned.

  • Must follow and comply with all ISO 9001, Food Safety, and ISO 15378 established requirements.
  • Must follow all regulatory laws and guidelines.
  • Contribution to Safety, Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace by ensuring adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project start-up.
  • Support the accomplishment of your work groups through the quality, timeliness and professionalism of your attitude.
  • Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting.
  • Apply resources in a manner that maximizes their effectiveness while assuring quality.
  • Maintain a work environment that will contribute to the assurance of safety and GMP compliance.
  • Adhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of you and your team’s work.
  • Notify management in a timely manner of any problems with procedural compliance.
  • Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner.
  • Make recommendations to management for improving the quality and efficiency of your work.
  • Oversee work to ensure projects are completed.
