About The Position

The Facility Sanitation Specialist maintains cleanliness, safety, and supplies in employee restrooms and breakrooms at a large tire manufacturing facility in Wilson, North Carolina. The work takes place in a heavy industrial environment with high foot traffic, industrial dust, and continuous operations. Available schedules include 4:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m. on a four-days-on, four-days-off rotation, as well as Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. shifts. The posting also lists openings for heavy-duty industrial cleaners and office/restroom cleaners.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid ID.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
Ability to lift and carry trash bags and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Comfort working in a large manufacturing plant that may be dusty, loud, and busy.
Reliability, self-motivation, and pride in one's work.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
Clean employee break areas by wiping tables, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning microwaves and countertops.
Gather and empty trash from high-traffic areas, bathrooms, and breakrooms, and dispose of it in designated compactors or bins.
Monitor and replenish soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and other facility supplies in assigned areas.
Promptly clean spills, wet floors, and debris to help maintain a safe environment.
