About The Position

Join the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Revenue Office as a Facility Reimbursement Officer and support important financial operations at the Southeastern Veterans' Center. This role allows you to use your organizational and analytical skills to help ensure accurate billing and reimbursement. You will assist veterans and their families by supporting the management of their financial needs with care and professionalism. Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a Facility Reimbursement Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Five years of experience involving public contact work in billing and collecting financial accounts or debts; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Completion of college-level work with major course work in business administration, finance, accounting, health care management, or a related field may be substituted for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Valid accreditation by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a veterans service officer or eligibility for accreditation within one year from the date of employment.
  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania non-commercial class C driver’s license or equivalent.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and verify admission, interim, and annual assessments to ensure accurate maintenance fee calculations
  • Investigate unusual expenses and maintain detailed reconciliation records for all fee changes
  • Coordinate collection of maintenance fees and manage required documentation for audits and revenue reporting
  • Maintain daily census information used for federal reimbursement and prepare required VA billing forms
  • Assist residents with benefit applications, required documents, and eligibility reviews for programs that help lower home and health care costs
  • Track delinquent accounts, prepare claim referrals, and communicate with legal representatives when required
