Facility Registered Nurse - Maui
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse to provide patient care at healthcare facilities throughout Maui. This per diem position offers flexible scheduling based on availability, with no guaranteed minimum hours and opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week depending on staffing needs. Nurses may work across multiple facilities and patient populations, in settings such as hospitals, clinics, correctional facilities, long-term care facilities, and skilled nursing facilities. The role is suited to nurses who value schedule flexibility and are committed to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- At least one year of acute care experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following settings: hospital, clinic, correctional facility, long-term care facility, or skilled nursing facility.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities.
- Ability to work independently and integrate effectively with facility staff.
- Dependable, flexible, professional, team-oriented, and committed to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and nursing evaluations.
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility policies and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with facility, state, and regulatory standards.
- Adapt to varying facility workflows and patient care needs.
