About The Position

Daytona International Speedway is seeking motivated individuals to join the Facility Operations team in the positions of Maintenance_Event. This is a seasonal/event-based position to assist the team in the areas of Maintenance Mechanic, Painter, Irrigation, and Track Maintenance. The role requires basic knowledge of office systems, including computer systems and programs, cellular phones, and 2-way radios. This position will perform routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on the race track and related infrastructures, and operate equipment and use tools as directed.

Perform routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on race track and related infrastructures.
Operate equipment and use tools as directed.

Responsibilities

Assist in executing DIS events – major races, track rentals, other events.
Assemble and disassemble track equipment such as track gates, barricades, portable bleachers, etc.
Use all types of power tools and large equipment including forklift, front end loader, backhoe, bucket truck.
Perform preventive building maintenance duties.
Clean, repair, lubricate and maintain equipment, tools and machinery used for construction jobs.
Use saws, hammer, nails and bolts for framing.
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications using equipment, picks, or shovels.
Perform light electrical, plumbing, drywall and carpentry repairs.
Participate in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
Other duties as assigned.
